Question 1

Who is Mountain Mama?

Accepted Answer

Mountain Mama is your local AI assistant for making plans and staying connected. Text or message Mama when you want to get together with someone, and she handles the back-and-forth: checking calendars, coordinating times, and confirming the plan so you can skip the scheduling headache and just show up.

Question 2

How do I join The Mountain Mama Club?

Accepted Answer

Head to mountainmama.ai, tap Join the Club, and confirm the code we text you. That's it. If a friend is already a member, they can also send you an invite link that connects you as friends right away.

Question 3

How do I make plans with a friend?

Accepted Answer

Just text Mama something like "I want to grab dinner with Sarah this week." Mama will check both of your calendars, suggest times that work, and reach out to your friend to coordinate. Once a time is locked in, she confirms with both of you and adds it to your calendars. No group texts. No "does Thursday work?" chain. Just plans, made.

Question 4

Can Mama coordinate plans for a group?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell Mama who you want to get together with and she'll reach out to each person, find a time that works for everyone, and confirm when it's set. Group scheduling works the same way as 1:1, just with more people in the mix.

Question 5

How does Mama know when I'm free?

Accepted Answer

Mama can connect to your Google Calendar. She can see when you have existing events so she only suggests times that actually work. She checks availability, avoids conflicts, and never double-books you. If she doesn't have access to your calendar, she will check with you on times that work.

Question 6

Will Mama share my calendar details with anyone?

Accepted Answer

No. Mama can see your availability, but she will never share what's on your calendar with anyone else. If you have a dentist appointment at 3pm, your friend just hears that time doesn't work. Your schedule stays private.

Question 7

Can Mama book a restaurant for me?

Accepted Answer

Not yet. Mama can suggest great local spots based on the vibe you're going for, group size, or what you're in the mood for. But for now, you'll need to make the reservation yourself. Restaurant reservations are coming in a future update.

Question 8

What if my friend isn't on Mountain Mama yet?

Accepted Answer

Just let Mama know who you want to invite. She'll give you an invite link that you can text or email to your friend. Once they sign up, Mama can coordinate between you just like any other plan. You can also invite friends directly from your profile page.

Question 9

Can I text Mama or do I have to use the website?

Accepted Answer

Both. Mama works over SMS and through the web chat, and your conversations carry over between them. Start a plan over text, pick it up on the web. Whatever's easier in the moment. Add her to your contact list to keep her one click away.

Question 10

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Accepted Answer

Just ask Mama. Text something like "I need to reschedule dinner with Sarah" or "Cancel my plans Friday." Mama will re-coordinate with the other person, update calendars, and confirm when it's handled.

Question 11

Does Mama learn my preferences?

Accepted Answer

Over time, yes. Mama remembers what you like and gets better at suggesting the right restaurants, times, and spots. The more you use her, the less explaining you have to do.

Question 12

Is The Mountain Mama Club only in Bend?

Accepted Answer

For now, yes. The Mountain Mama Club is starting in Bend, Oregon, with plans to expand to other places. If you're in Bend, you're in the right place.

Question 13

What's coming next?

Accepted Answer

The Mountain Mama Club is growing. Restaurant reservations, food ordering, and more ways to stay connected with your people are all on the roadmap. For now, Mama is focused on doing one thing really well: making sure your plans actually happen.

Question 14

Why "Mama"?

Accepted Answer

We get it. The word "mama" carries weight. In so many cases, mama is the one who remembers the birthday, coordinates the carpool, texts the group, and somehow keeps everyone's schedule in her head. That work is real, it's relentless, and it's almost always invisible. But here's the thing: it shouldn't fall on one person. Mountain Mama exists because coordinating your people should be easy, not exhausting. She handles the back-and-forth so nobody has to be the one who always holds it together. You deserve to have someone in your corner who just handles it.
